Our Team

Trong To - Director / Physiotherapist
Trong To has had over fifteen years of industry experience and has had the privilege of treating and working with elite national and international swimmers at local, national and FINA World Swimming Championships.

He has also worked with:

  • South Dragons (basketball)
  • Nunawading Spectres (basketball)
  • Vermont FC
  • Local and national soft ball competitions

Trong has a keen interest in treating sporting injuries but also enjoys treating “domestic” injuries as these non sporting injuries can be just as challenging and debilitating. Trong is employs many different manual techniques and has practiced dry needling for over 12 years. He believes in doing “whatever works” even if it is borrowed from other disciplines. Trong has also trained in Karate, holds a first degree black belt and has competed at both national and international levels. He is Australian University qualified, is accredited with the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Workcover, TAC, Veteran’s Affairs and private health insurance agencies. Trong is happy to treat sporting and non-sporting people alike, and his patients span all ages. When not at work, Trong enjoys, reading, fishing, travelling, meeting new people,kick boxing and archery.

Micah Jones - Physiotherapist
Micah became a physiotherapist following a career in Personal Training and coaching Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing). He developed his passion for physiotherapy due to his love for combat sports and continues to guide his career towards helping those in this area. Micah is a big believer in self-management through adjusting the bodies biomechanical faults to help with current injuries and to prevent future ones using exercise, stretching, joint mobilization and self-massage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Physiotherapy Practice – La Trobe University.
  • Dry needling for sports and spinal Injuries Level 1 – Australian Physiotherapy Association.
  • Certificate III and IV in Fitness (Including older adults and children) – Australian Institute of Fitness.
  • Third Degree Black Belt in Muay Thai – BJC, Blazing Dolphins Under Graham Weddell.
  • Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu – Under Ralph Lowe.
  • Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR certificates.

Paul Nguyen - Physiotherapist
Paul Nguyen graduated in 1999 from the University of Sydney. Paul has worked predominantly in private practice in Australia as well spending 5 years working in some of London’s leading hospitals. Paul has also trained and worked for the Australian physiotherapy and Pilates Institute in London for 4 years , using clinical Pilates in the treatment and rehabilitation of spinal and peripheral injuries. Paul has extensive experience in the management of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. He is a very hands on physiotherapist and is a strong believer in strength through exercise and fitness. Paul has worked with sporting athletes as well as weekend warriors of all ages. He now calls Melbourne home and would love to help you to restore your movement and function and improve your quality of life.

Although located on the cusp of Mount Waverley and Chadstone, we regularly treat patients from Ashwood, Box Hill, Burwood, Clayton, Glen Waverley, Oakleigh, Vermont and Wheelers Hill. Balance Physiotherapy is a growing Mount Waverley physiotherapy service dedicated to providing an exceptional, professional, personalised and compassionate physiotherapy service in the Mount Waverley, Chadstone, Ashwood, and Oakleigh area .

We have a broad range of experience in sports injuries, neck, back and joint pain and rehabilitation. We treat patients across all ages and both sporting and non-sporting alike. There is no need for a referral for physiotherapy treatment and health fund rebates can be claimed on the spot – you only pay the gap.

Located just 300 metres from the Monash Freeway, we have ample onsite parking and flexible appointment times – from early morning to evening and weekend appointments.

Home Visiting Physiotherapy Service

We are proud to announce that we also have a home visiting physiotherapy service to cover Mount Waverley, Chadstone, Ashwood, and Oakleigh. Please call for details.

  • EPC / Medicare $70
  • EPC's processed via Medicare - $55.10 refund deposit into your account.

Cancellation Policy
We are a very busy practice and would appreciate 24 hours notice for cancellation so that we can offer your appointment to others. A cancellation fee of $30 may be incurred for non-attendance or if sufficient notice is not given.
